• Global observations and commentary on the quality of the manuscript. For nonfiction, this involves overall voice, narrative order, style, and development. For fiction, this includes assessment of plot cohesion, character development, world-building, and dialogue.
• Manuscript evaluation – sheet summarizing manuscript’s strengths, weaknesses, and suggestions for improvement.
• BASIC copyediting – depending on quality of writing and negotiated terms, manuscript may require an additional round of editing or proofreading.

This edit is for completed manuscripts that are approaching publication-readiness, but have already undergone at least one round of review, even if only by author.

Includes:

• Will still provide some basic line editing services, but will primarily focus on local revisions—grammar, usage, and mechanics. Will point to any areas of confusion with wording and suggest all revisions required for publication-readiness.
• BASIC MS Word formatting – within Word Doc, including page numbers, TOC, arrangement of figures, and formatting according to desired style guide.

This service includes fact and/or reference checking for your manuscript.

Includes:

• Extensive referencing or indexing of facts and citations throughout manuscript and included in References section.

• Deliverable in accordance with desired style guidelines BASIC MS Word formatting – within Word Doc, including page numbers, TOC, arrangement of figures, and formatting according to desired style guide.
